ITINERARY FOR KASHMIR LADAKH TOUR:

 

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SRINAGAR - HOUSEBOAT STAY AND SHIKARA RIDE: When you arrive at Srinagar International Airport, our representative will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. It is a 35-minute drive from the airport through the heart of Srinagar city. The journey takes you to the Abdullah Bridge, which connects the banks of the Jhelum River, snaking its way towards Kashmir's north-western border. We arrive and check into the houseboat. We'll leave in two hours. Riding a shikara on the lake. This boat excursion takes you via some beautiful vegetable gardens and aquatic life. Take a Shikara ride to witness the enchanting beauty of Char Chinar Island, Floating Gardens, Mughal gardens and Floating Shops. During the Shikara cruise, you will also witness the Kabutarkhana and Bathing Boats. Dinner and overnight stay on a houseboat.


DAY 2: SRINAGAR - PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR: - (95.2 kilometres / 2:47 minutes) Today's drive will take us to a beautiful valley about 97 kilometres south of Kashmir. The valley, known as Pahalgam (which means "The Shepherd's Village"), is famous all over the world for its exotic forests, gushing streams, and towering snow peaks.
Visit the Avantipur Ruins and Cricket Bat Factory on the way. If time allows, you can visit the temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, which are approximately 1100 years old. After arriving, rest for a while before exploring the scenic grandeur of the Lidder River valley.
You can visit Betaab Valley and Chandanwari in Pahalgam, as well as ride a horse to the Baisaran grasslands. After spending most of the day in the alpine valley, we will return to Srinagar and transfer to the Houseboat for an overnight stay.

DAY 3 : SRINAGAR SIGHTSEEING IN THE AREA: - Today we will spend the entire day exploring the area, including a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Built over a 14-year period, the two gardens are a legacy left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose penchant for establishing gorgeous gardens was remarkable. The gardens feature lush turfs, blooming flowers, and water fountains against the backdrop of the expansive Zabarwan Mountains. We will visit the gardens before returning to the Houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: SRINAGAR-GULMARG-SRINAGAR: After breakfast, we will begin our countryside day excursion towards Gulmarg (54.9 km / 2:20 mints). The trip through colourful villages and rice fields provides insight into Kashmir's rich cultural history. We arrive in Tangmarg, a little picturesque market town, and continue on a 14-kilometre scenic trip to Gulmarg.

We arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and take a short tour of the meadow to get acquainted with its beauty. We will board the Gondola cable car system in Gulmarg and ascend towards the Apharwat Mountain range. The 08-minute rope-way ride will take you past colourful shepherd huntsmen to the Apharwat peak's lower ridge.

You will be able to witness the adjacent mountain ranges, which stand tall like sentinels defending the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. After about an hour, we return to Gulmarg's base and then ride horses to Strawberry Valley. In the evening, we'll return to Srinagar, where we can take a walk along the Dal Lake's banks or simply relax in the cosy rooms of our houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay in a houseboat

DAY 5: SRINAGAR - SONAMARG (79.2 km / 2:30 min) We will depart after breakfast for the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The road to Sonamarg takes us through picturesque countryside, with rolling hills, green forests, and clear brooks and rice fields in bloom. We'll fly by the town of Kangan, which serves all of the region's needs.

We will drive from Kangan to Mammar, noted for its trout farm, and stop for a warm cup of tea before continuing on to Sonamarg. We will board down from our cars once more at the tourist attraction of Gagangir. The location is built in the middle of the Sindh River and resembles an island, with snow glaciers covering one of the spots. We will take a three-hour walk or horseback ride to the Thajiwas glacier from Sonamarg. After we return, we'll go to the small town market to get some snacks or just to watch the locals go by. Overnight stay in a Sonamarg hotel.

DAY 6: SONAMARG - KARGIL: -(135 km) Drive to Kargil by automobile in the morning, passing through the picturesque village of Sonamarg (2740 metres) After Sonamarg, the most difficult road and damp Zojila pass is 3527 metres (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue driving until Drass (the world's second coldest inhabited area), where we will stop for refreshments and a passport check. Another two and a half hour journey will take us to Kargil (2710 metres), which gained prominence with the opening of Ladakh to visitors in 1974. Overnight stay at a hotel.


DAY 07: KARGIL TO LEH: (235 km)
We will leave in the morning for a full day trip to Leh, where we will ascend three passes. Mulbek will be the first Buddhist village. On the Srinagar-Leh route, we must cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.). En route, stop at Mulbekh hamlet to see the old rock-cut figure of Maitreya Buddha. Later, take photos of the lunar-like scenery around Lamayuru Monastery. Enjoy a delicious lunch and after you reach Nimu take a photo break along the way at the Sangam (confluence) of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Arrive in Leh around evening and settle into your accommodation. Finally, we arrive at Leh at 3500 metres. Overnight stay at a hotel.

DAY 08: SIGHTSEEING IN LEH:
After breakfast, depart for LEH (full day monasteries visit). Thiksey Monastery trip for the entire day. It is best to go early in the morning to watch the dawn and the praying ceremony. Visit Shey Palace on your way back to Leh. Return to the motel to spend the night.


DAY 09:LEH - PANGONG LAKE (160 Km) After breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake, 14,500 feet, via Changla Pass, 17,350 feet (the third highest motorable road in the world).world.) Camp for the night.

DAY 10:PANGONG LAKE - NUBRA VALLEY (275 Km) Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla after breakfast (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft.). Arrive by the afternoon at Deskit. The rest of the day is free to tour Deskit and Hunder Villages, as well as go on a camel safari in the Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village.You will also pass via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in Ladakh's Changtang region on your approach to Leh, as well as the Sindhu Ghat and the Thiksey monastery, before arriving at the Shey Royal Palace. DAY 12: LEH - TSO MORIRI LAKE (240 Km) Drive to Tsomoriri in the morning, passing Chumathang (Hot Spring) along the Indus River. Tsomoriri Arrives around 1600 Hrs. After that, go for a walk around the lake to take in the scenery. Camp for the night.

DAY 13: TSO MORIRI LAKE,LEH: (240 km) After a leisurely breakfast, go around the lake before returning to Leh. Overnight stay in a hotel.

DAY 14: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE: - We will drive you to the airport for your trip home after a late breakfast. The driver will assist you with your luggage and then drop you off at the terminal.
