DAY 2: A tour of Leh and a visit to Sham Valley


After breakfast, depart along the Indus River for the Leh-Kargil Highway.
Honour the combatants from the War in Kargil by visiting the Hall of Fame.
Return to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib to seek blessings.
After around four hours of driving, you will reach Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.

Day 3: Travel 120 miles (4-5 hours) across Khardung La Pass (17,582 feet) from Leh to Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Return trip from Nubra Valley to Leh

Early in the morning, take a drive to Hunder Village to go on camel safaris, visit sand dunes, and explore the winter desert.
After stopping in Diskit to tour the 515-year-old Diskit Monastery, continue travelling to Leh.
Spend some time strolling the local markets and discovering the unique high altitude culture.

Day 5 : From Leh, travel 140 kilometres (5–6 hours) to Pangong Lake.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast to start the day off right before you leave on an interesting tour to Pangong Lake, Shey Palace and Thiksey.
Continue cycling towards the Changla Pass (5,486m) as you get closer to Sakti Village and enjoy the windy ride.
Soak in the gorgeous surroundings, and then continue on to Tangtse for a revitalising cup of tea.
After reaching Pangong Lake, pitch up a tent there, and take in the stunning scenery and immaculate surroundings.
Enjoy a peaceful night at the camp while admiring the serene surroundings.


Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh and back (140 km; 6 h)
Enjoy a leisurely morning while admiring the natural beauty of Pangong Lake.
As you set out on your return trip to Leh, stop at Hemis Gompa.
After the visit, continue on to Leh and get there by dusk.
Wander the marketplace and indulge in a little souvenir shopping at the local shops.

DAY 7: DEPARTURE
After waking up and enjoying a lovely breakfast, check out of the hotel.
You'll be driven to the airport and dropped off.

TOUR DO'S AND DON'TS

It is advisable that you give yourself ample time for acclimatisation because the temperature at high altitudes differs from that on the plains.to an enormous height.
See a doctor first before beginning the tour. Keep a first aid kit and some simple medicines with you while travelling.
For the trip, it is advisable to take additional warm clothing.
The suggested baggage weight is 60 litres, even if you might have to carry the bags to the backup vehicle, the lodging, etc.
