While some of our treks in Jammu and Kashmir are quite well-known, few people are aware of other treks in Jammu and Kashmir that are equally thrilling but offer a different kind of adventure. The new Brammah Valley hike in the Kishtwar National Park combines Kashmir's natural splendour with a different kind of scenery than what we often encounter on treks.
The journey gives breath-taking views of Kishtwar's four main peaks, all of which are over 6,000 metres high. Rarely do hikers get to see such massive summits up close.

You can see these large mountains from their base to their summit, not only from the summit! Trekkers are completely in awe when they witness Mount Shivling at its full height at Gaumukh Tapovan, by contrast. They get to see the mountain's upper 2,500 metres. On the Brammah Valley hike, you can view the tall mountains from over 4,000 metres away all at once! The effect is almost twice as great. The trek's distinctive river delta campground, Kidhar Maidan, is also where you camp close to these mountains.

The Eiger and Tarparan are on your left as you leave the Kidhar Maidan campground. The second-highest mountain in Jammu, Mount Brammah I, is located to your right. The well-known Mt. Brammah Wife is located just next to it.You will be trekking all through the Kishtwar National Park on this walk. The lush forest in Kishtwar is well-known.  On your walk, you pass through woodlands every day.

It is a really enjoyable trip through these woodlands because of the gradient, which is gently ascending with a few brief steep spots.

These are mostly coniferous, and as you go through the woods, a strong aroma fills the air. Except for a small group of lovely silver birch trees right before Kidhar Maidan, everything in between is made up of maple trees. This trip offers an unsurpassed array of coniferous plants. A number of Deodars, spruces, Abies pindrow, and chip pines. There are times when the trees are so tall that they nearly touch the sky.

The layout of these forests is what hikers will appreciate. The forest is captivating at all times. Beautiful clearings occasionally appear in the woodlands. At other times, beautiful layers of sunshine filter through the trees.

There are breathtaking views around every corner. You travel with the Nath river the entire way. You can still hear the river while hiking deep in the forest. As you hike further into the valley, the water begins to settle down. We set up a camp next to the silently flowing Nath river in the vast grasslands of Kidar Maidan. This would be one of the top contenders for the prize for the most picturesque campsite on any of our trips.

Kishtwar is a natural fortification since tall mountains encircle it. A natural barrier to the outside world is provided by the towering mountains. This could be the reason Kistwar has historically been so cut off from the rest of the nation. Alpine meadows and high-altitude wetlands are further features of the Kishtwar valley that are well-known. We pass through each of these marvels on our walk through Brammah Valley.

The majority of people in the valley are Kishtwaris, who are renowned for having a unique culture, way of life, and language. We are not like the rest of Kashmir, observe mosques and temples coexisting. Our journey includes a section of the route to the Hudh Mata temple.

Even the houses' architecture is unusual. You will pass through teeny settlements perched on mountainside as we travel. The homes, however, exhibit architecture from a world we hardly ever view from their perilous heights.

Trekkers will uncover a new world of exploration ready to be made in the Brammah valley. The limited spots we have left on the trek this year must be taken advantage of by hikers.
