OVERVIEW

An old trade route linking Changthang in Ladakh, Tibet, and Spiti in Himachal is the Parang La trek. Both Chicham/Kibber village in Spiti and Korzok village in Leh are good starting points for the Parang La trek. The Pare Chu river, which flows into Tibet and then returns to India, is followed by the path, which reaches a maximum altitude of about 5600 metres at Parang La. The trail's main draw is its old, active mountain features, which have an unusual pattern that suggests they were once submerged in the sea for an extended period of time and include some rare fossils.

Large meadows along the trail served as a grazing area for horses from the Spiti Valley. The trek's stroll down the Tso Moriri is its most amazing component. Two full days are spent beside a lake with varying shades of blue and numerous unclimbed peaks in the background. The destination is Korzok village, which is home to one of Leh's most significant and historic monasteries.

You travel through Spiti Valley's lush scenery on the Parang La trek. The lovely starting site of Kaza, which is ideal for the start of such an expedition, offers a nine-day adventure trek to Parang La. After traversing numerous tight river gorges, you will arrive in Dumla after the first circuit of the walk, where Kibber at an altitude of 14000 feet and the centuries-old Ki monastery would be the ideal place to visit. When you proceed from Thaltak Meadow to Jagtha and then to Bomgrojen, the journey becomes fairly difficult and strenuous.

From the summit, you notice that the stunning splendour of the Spiti Valley has a profound impact on you. You can see the lush valley from the summit, so descend to the Pare Chu River and then make your way eagerly towards Dak Karzong from there. You will eventually master the flat paths leading up to Racholamo Valley as you continue your walk, and from there, there will be simple downhill routes down to Norbu Sumdo. Beyond Norbu Sumdo, you will get to cross a river to arrive to Chumik Shilde.

The most grandiose highlight would be a trek over the banks of Tso Moriri Lake. Before winding up the Parang La's indisputable routes, you will also see the stunningly old Korzok Monastery. One of the best methods to rediscover the unexplored Spiti and Himalayan valleys is through this journey.

One of the most well-known trekking routes in the Ladakh-Spiti valley is the Parang La Pass Trek, which leads to the picturesque valleys of Ladakh. While beautiful in every direction, the Parang La journey starts at the Kara hamlet and goes all the way to Karkoza. It begins to ascend as it passes through Spiti Valley and eventually leads hikers to Tso Moriri Lake.

You travel through some of the most breathtaking sights on this wonderful tour. After passing through the high-altitude community that is well-known for snow leopard sightings, slowly make some sharp turns. Experience the area's pristine splendour and the wilderness. Start your thrilling adventure at the mysterious village of Kibber, which is renowned for having a population of secretive snow leopards.

After climbing the renowned Prang la, descend through the Kibber gorge. This walk requires quite a bit of effort because it takes you through difficult terrain like deep gorges, large meadows, lakes, and more. On your walk, have the time to camp at some of the stunning locations. The legendary exchange route between Spiti, Changthang, and Tibet is retraced on this exceptional Trans-Himalayan journey, and there are some amazing views from the high mountain source of the Pare Chu canal. Your vacation adventure goals will be clearly defined by Parang La Trek Ladakh.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Kaza to Ki and Ki to Dumla(18 km/ 4 hours)
Arriving in Kaza, settle in by getting to know the city, and acclimatise. The Spiti Valley's administrative hub is Kaza.
Drive from Kaza to the tiny settlement of Kibber to start the experience after being accustomed to the circumstances.
Kibber is one of the world's highest populated areas and is located at a significant altitude of around 14000 feet above sea level.
The famed Ki Monastery, an 11th-century Buddhist institution known for its architecture, wall paintings, and pictures of Lord Buddha, is located close to the settlement.
Afterwards, start the Parang La's initial phase.
To go to Dumla, you must trek.
Although it is a short trip, you should use caution owing to the Lahaul and Spiti region's slightly uneven terrain.
On the way to Dumla, traverse a number of narrow and deep river gorges. Once there, head to the campsite for the night.

The trail descends steeply from here, passing by the grounds of Norbu Sumdo, the former gathering site of the Ladakhi monarchs.
Beyond Norbu Sumdo, cross a river to get to Chumik Shilde.
As you get to your destination, make your way to the camps to spend the night.

You will then be taken to your accommodation to spend the night there.
