SHORT TREKS OF KASHMIR

Kashmir contains a wide range of Margs, which are low-altitude valleys. These valleys provide a variety of short walks throughout the year. Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Yousmarg, Aharbal, and Naranag are the short trekking destinations. Trekkers can enjoy beautiful green meadows, the perfume of wild flowers, and snow-capped mountains.  The short treks and day hikes are ideal for vacationers with limited time.

Kashmir offers a variety of trekking routes and scenic opportunities. Kashmir has many beautiful short walking trails, with the majority of them leading to stunning alpine landscapes and lakes. Some of the hikes can be done in just two or three days and some even in a day and are ideal for weekend excursions. All of these short hikes provide breathtaking vistas of lush meadows and gushing waterfalls. Wildflowers, Timberline, nomadic life, amazing alpine lakes, mountains, snow-fed rivers, and the cliffs are simply  breathtaking in the trails.

Below we have categorised some short treks from the areas of Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Aharbal,Gulmarg,Bandipora, Yousmarg, Naranag, Srinagar and Ganderbal of Kashmir.

a.Short TrekS to Pahalgam

Pahalgam is a popular trekking location in Kashmir, with excellent short treks in the area. Tulian Baisaran is a popular short hike in Pahalgam. Aru Valley offers a variety of short and long trekking trails. A couple long treks to mention include Tarsar Marsar and Pahalgam to Sonamarg.


1. KOLAHOI GLACIER TREK


 4 DAYS AVERAGE SHORT TREK GRADIENT

This expedition will take you around the 17,799-foot (5,425-metre) mountain. The surrounding environment of the walk would entice anyone at any time of year. Begin the hike from Aru with a 12-kilometre easy walk across the rolling hills of Lidderwat .The Kolahoi glacier walk is a jewel for hikers and mountaineers, with significant ties to early alpine expeditions of the Nun and Kun Mountain Massif. The walk is made more enjoyable by walking parallel to the green lush valleys and snow-fed waters stream of Lidder.

 

2.Trek from  Katarnag Lake to Aru

Day 1: Drive 115 kilometres from Srinagar to Aru Valley, then walk to Gashran overnight camping.

3.Trek from Aru Valley to Lidderwat Valley


  4 days
Trekking elevation: 3000 metres.


The Lidderwat Valley connects the Kolahoi and Tarsar Ranges and serves as a base camp for climbs to the Kolahoi Glacier, Tarsar, and Marsar. It is the confluence of two rivers that flow from Tarsar Marsar and the Kolahoi glacier, giving rise to the Lider River.  Lidderwat is a lush green valley that attracts a significant number of Shepherds throughout the summer to crunch their herds. The valley is densely forested with various types of pine trees. Wildflowers come to life in the spring. The valley resembles a flower garden, with various types of wild flowers and meadows. The lowlands are surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

 

Day 1:Srinagar to Aru Valley

Drive from Srinagar to Aru valley and begin hiking up to Kotpatari. The upper reaches of Aru valley are very beautiful. A little stream flows across this valley from Katrenag Lake. It is an idle location for evening bonfires and overnight campers.

 


Day 2: From Kotpatare to the Lidderwat Valley

The trek begins on a well-marked trail from Aru Kotpatre, through dense pine trees, and is relatively easy.Trekking up to Lidderwat valley takes 5 hours. Overnight camps are available.

Day 3: Lidderwat to Satlangen sightseeing

When it comes to tourism, there are numerous options for day tours. Day trips to Satlangen or Hamwais are simple.


Day 4: Lidderwat to Srinagar via Aru Valley.


Hiking is best from April to October, but sightseeing can be done all year. Winter hiking season is from November to April.

 

4.Pahalgam Sheshnag Lake Trek


3-4 DAYS
MODERATE TREK GRADIENT.

Sheshnag Lake Is a high altitude oligotrophic lake 35590 metres above sea level. The lake has a wide variety of trout species, and fishermen  enjoy excellent high altitude fly fishing. The walk is regarded as the Kashmir Valley's easiest and shortest alpine lake trek. The walk begins in the world-famous mountain resort of "Pahalgam." Pahalgam is about 80 kilometres from Srinagar. The trailhead for this short trek will take up to an hour to reach from Pahalgam. The path from Chandan Wadi parallels the snow-fed river water stream before turning left. Starting the journey on a rough cemented path that crosses a pass. The landscape beyond the pass is brownish and very different from what we left behind. The path to Sheshnag is also part of the path to Amarnath Cave.

The same trail goes to one of Kashmir's most remote treks, the "Warwan" or Wadwan Valley Trek. Several waterfalls and clear-flowing streams are always singing along the path. The trail is rich in natural beauty and holds holy significance in the Hindu faith. The sight of Sheshnag Lake in the lap of brownish mountains with a blue blanket on the ground is breathtaking. A favourable weather spell is usually required for an exciting journey.

 


Day 1: Drive from Srinagar to Chandanwari and spend the night in a tent.
 Day 2: 11 km walk from Chandanwari to Sheshnag Lake with overnight camping.
 Day 3: Sightseeing and fly fishing followed by a night of camping.
Day 4: Drive back to Srinagar through Sheshnag Lake and the Pahalgam alpine lakes.

5.TULIAN LAKE SHORT TREK


TREK DURATION: 2 DAYS.
MODERATE GRADIENT

 

Pahalgam is the principal starting point for a variety of short and multi-day hikes in Kashmir. Tulian Lake, also known as Tulian Lake Trek, is a 32-kilometre-long walking trail with an elevation rise of around 1000 metres from the trailhead. The Tullian Lake walk is an excellent choice for a lovely moderate short trek in Kashmir that can be completed in just one night and two days. After 2 kilometres of average walking, the route takes you to the deep pine trees, where the steady rise begins. You will be able to experience stunning vistas of the dense alpine zone with inverted waterfalls and water streams flowing from snow-capped mountains during the walk. The Tulian Valley will be reached after 4 hours of elevation and altitude increase by zig-zag route. The valley is the trek's only campsite with a lovely white water stream running parallel to it.

To reach the Lake, it takes more than 30 minutes of gradual ascent in the valley and 60 minutes of boulder walking. When you reach an elevation of 3684 metres, a natural miracle appears in front of your eyes. An iconic Alpine lake nestled in the shadow of Katsal's 4791-metre peak, azure water, and wildflower beds on the banks is without a doubt a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The colour of the lake, which contrasts with the snow-covered mountains in the background, makes it one of Kashmir's most picturesque landscapes.

 It is a freshwater lake situated in a pine-filled meadow. For those who enjoy nature and short treks, Tulian Lake Trek is one of the best locations. Even though this lake has pieces of ice floating in it at times, it is still welcoming throughout the rest of the year. This walk is regarded as a tour that puts your physical strength to the test, but the rewards are worth it. The trekkers will have a really exciting experience on the 6-hour trip, which spans 16 kilometres on a steep path.

6.A Day Hike in Shikargah

1 Day trek

Only one kilometre downriver on the other side of the Lidder River is Mamalleswara.  Here is a Shiv temple with a square stone tank that dates to the 12th century. There are no fewer than eight little settlements within Pahalgam, one of which being Mamal. Here is a Shiva temple that dates back to the eighth century and is generally regarded as Kashmir's oldest still-standing temple.  

Shikargah is a well-known wildlife reserve that tourists favour as a place to go to unwind with friends and family. The reserve's diverse wildlife has historically served as a hunting ground for the royals. Because of its close proximity to Pahalgam's marketplace, visitors may easily book pony rides there. But there's also the practical option of walking to the wildlife reserve.

7.Day Hike to Surmarg from Pahalgam

1 Day trek

Short 6-hour hike from Pahalgam to the lush Surmarg meadows, which are encircled by a pine forest and offer views of snow-capped mountains.


Sonamarg is a picturesque meadow that is around 10 KM from Pahalgam. The surrounding mountains' snow-capped peaks contrast with the dense pine forest that gives the meadow its carpet-like appearance. Additionally, trekkers who intend to ascend further to Bajmarg should choose sonamarg as their campsite. This off-the-beaten-path area of Kashmir is reachable from Pahalgam either foot or horses and offers panoramic views of the city and Lidder Valley.

 

8.Pahalgam to Zadinag Trek

1 DAY TREK

The picturesque town has already established itself as one of Jammu and Kashmir's premier hill resorts. It is situated at 2240 m above sea level and surrounded by sloping green slopes.


It takes six hours to do this day trip. One hour is needed to travel to Shikargah. During the summer, there are a lot of gypsy families residing here in mud huts. Here, the stream sings continuously to welcome visitors. From Shikargah, the sea is clear. Gukhyan is two hours away. To get to the paradise of Gukhyan, one has to work up a good sweat. Sky appears to be fairly nearby. We can set up a tent and take in the night as well. It takes an hour to get to Zadinag from Gukhyan. A spring that emerges from this area flows in a serpentine motion.


9.Pahalgam to Angan Trek

1 DAY trek

The journey to the stunning location "The Brari Angan" takes 1.5 hours. During the summertime, there are a lot of Gypsy families who live here. It takes 30 minutes to get to Kannimul. It is a simple upland pasture where shepherds spend the majority of the summer and autumn. One can also visit Dunpathri.
It takes three hours to get to this lovely location. We travel back to Pahalgam for two hours.

10.SHORT TREK TO TARSAR LAKE

DURATION: 4 DAYS
MODERATE TREK GRADIENT.


The hike brings you to Tarsar Lake, a breath-taking Alpine lake. The trek's terrain is rich in contrast, making the entire journey spectacular. This short walk begins in Aru Valley at an elevation of 2500 metres above sea level and is the only hike included in the Lonely Planet Guide to the Indian Himalayas. For ages, Aru Valley has been a major centre for adventure sports, particularly trekking and mountaineering. Apart from the short walk, this trek is known as the Tarsar Marsar Trek since it covers three Alpine lakes in seven days.


The first day of this short hike takes you across rolling hills and concludes at Lidderwat.
The path takes a turn on the second day of the trip, with a moderate ascent towards Shekwas.  Tarsar Lake will take 6 hours to arrive from Lidderwat.  Mountain Kolahai is visible during the trek. It is a once-in-a-lifetime journey since trekkers will explore the Himalayan region's lofty peaks, lush meadows, valleys, streams, snow-capped mountains with gushing waterfalls, and gypsy life.

 

11. Kanimarg,  Baisaran and Tulian Trek

2 Day Trek
 
Day1
Following the trail upstream, we begin our day trip from Lidder River in Pahalgam and travel via Kanimarg to Tulian Lake. After an hour of walking, we arrive in Baisaran and find a beautiful meadow.  The Gujjar horses also add to the scenery.

When we get to the first resting place of the tour, we face dense forest with tall trees that barely allow the sun to reach the ground. We proceed forward through the Forest's treacherous terrain once more to reach Tulian valley after replenishing our supplies at the Gujjar shelters. From here, it takes only a short distance of walking to arrive at the spectacular wonderland known as the Tulian lake. We hike back to the Tulian Valley to set up camp and spend the night.

 

Day 2:  Kanimarg, Baisaran, and Srinagar
In order to go to Kanimarg, we use the same path and descend the arduous track. To go to Pahalgam, we walk through Baisaran.
Baisaran is comparable to Switzerland. It is a highland meadow with beautiful greenery.From Baisaran, we travel to Dabyan, another stunning location. On the way back to Pahalgam from the Kashmir Valley, we see a village at a  "waterfall."known as Ganeshbal.


12.Doodal Glacier Trek

 7 KM hike

Chandanwari is where the famous Amarnath Yatra begins. A snow bridge crosses the river there. One can either hike up to Doodal Glacier in a day's return or sledge over the snow bridge. Among the treasures of Kashmir , this pristine valley is known for its snow bridge in addition to its particular significance and makes an ideal trekking destination.

 Doodal Glacier is a stunning natural setting located in the Trans-Himalayan region, overlooking the beautiful snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Range. Travellers swarming the area are drawn in by the compelling scene created by the clear blue canopy over their heads, the hazy surroundings, the whispering of the local pine and fir forests, and the gorgeous meadows.

 

13.Hike to Churus Lake from Pahalgam

1 DAY TREK

It is a six-hour hike from Pahalgam in the upper Kashmir valley to the turquoise-blue Churus Lake. The lovely walk winds its way through a pine forest and is dotted with wildflowers. It is approximately a 15 km trek and can be finished in a day's hike.

Even trekking beginners would enjoy this simple hike. The route to Churus Lake starts from the upper Kashmir Valley. The sun shines brightly, peeking through the pine trees, and the route miraculously transforms into something out of a high fantasy film. White, yellow, and light purple flowers were scattered across the short, brown path that is covered in various tones of green grass. The lake is a magnificent example of what nature is capable of. The lake's waters are a turquoise blue colour and are bordered by snow patches that feed the lake. If ever a place could even come close to being paradise.


14.Sorus Lake Trek

1 DAY TREK

This trek commences from Ganeshbal which is 2 km downstream from Pahalgam. You can either and cross a meadow to go to the lake, or you can use the right side clearing to access the Zambpathari forests and climb to the Sorus lake (3655m). The area around the lake is quiet and secluded. The mountains completely enclose the lake, and snow can be expected in winter seasonl.  Therefore, if staying overnight is anticipated, the necessary equipment should be packed because the weather in this area is very flighty. The route used on the way back is similar.

 

b)Sonamarg Kashmir Short Treks

Sonmarg literally translates to "golden meadow." Sonmarg is the final major town on the way to Ladakh.  Sonmarg is also the starting point for several of Kashmir's most popular short treks to higher heights. The Thajiwas glacier, located 8 kilometres from Sonmarg, is a delightful one-day expedition. A pony can go to it via a well-kept trail.

The Kashmir Great  Lakes Trek is the most popular trek that begins at Sonmarg. It is close to the Harmukh peak and passes through the lakes of Gangabal, Vishansar, and Kishansar.
The trail initially traverses the Nichinai Pass (13,387 feet) before entering the alpine valleys that lead to Gangabal Lake.  Sonamarg is a popular trekking location in Kashmir. In addition, it provides some of the best Great Alpine high altitude long and short treks in Kashmir. A short hike takes you to Vishansar Lake, Durinar Lake, and Naranag Gangabal.

2.Short Trek to Thajiwas Glacier

The Thajiwas Glacier is about an hour's trek through a pine forest ahead of Sonamarg. The Thajiwas Glacier is a well-known Sonamarg attraction. The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Thajiwas day hike will give you a glimpse of Srinagar's beauty and the chance to wander through Sonamarg's meadows. This hike will provide you with a break from your busy life while immersing you in the beauty of nature.

Day 1: Drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg, then walk to Thajiwas for the night.
 Day 2: Visit the Thajiwas glacier and return to Srinagar via Sonmarg.

 

 c)Yusmarg Short Treks

Yousmarg is a relatively unknown trekking destination in Kashmir. Where it has some of the most unique meadows it can also provide excellent camping and traditional lodging for travellers. It is the finest location to relax and get peace of mind. It has lovely scenery and lovely hikes over carpeted meadows. A short hike to Nilnag Lake is the only way to experience Yusmarg.

d.Short Treks to Gulmarg
Gulmarg, often known as the Valley of Flowers, is located in the Pir Panjal peaks of the Himalayas. Gulmarg is well-known for its winter sports, and in summer it blooms with wildflowers in all their glory. Gulmarg is one of the closest trekking destinations from Srinagar and provides both short and lengthy journeys.

Gulmarg is located 50 kilometres east of Srinagar at an elevation of 2,900 metres. In the spring and summer, the tranquil township is located in a vast bowl-shaped meadow that is covered in wildflowers. It has the world's highest 18-hole golf course, which hosts a number of important events each year and provides some unusual difficulties.
The town's primary attractions are its hikes through dense pine trees teeming with bird life. Gulmarg also serves as the starting point for short treks into the Pir Panjal Mountains. Khilanmarg and Alpather Lake are popular day hikes. Khilanmarg is a verdant meadow surrounded by dense pine forests. At 3,000 metres, it is five kilometres from Gulmarg. Alpather is a frozen lake that is one of the most beautiful places in the Pir Panjal range. Another popular short hike is to Ningle Nallah, a beautiful 8-kilometre walk through woodlands and meadows. More daring hikers can take the five-day climb to Tosamaidan. The walk begins in Gulmarg and continues on to the hamlets of Danwas, Tejjan, and Tosamaidan through the Ferozpur Nala. ㅣ


1.Khilanmarg Frozen Alpather Lake Trek
 2 days:
Khilanmarg, at 9843 feet, is a lush meadow nestled among dense pine forests. It is located about 5 kilometres from Gulmarg and is a popular one-day trek in Kashmir.The frozen Alpather lake is located 8 kilometres from Khilanmarg. The lake remains frozen for the most part of the year. For adventure seekers, Khilanmarg also offers mountain biking, rock climbing, horseback riding, vehicle safaris, and Gondola trips. This short mountain hike is easy to moderate in difficulty. The high elevation and steep route can be difficult for inexperienced hikers.

 

Day 1: Srinagar to Gulmarg overnight hotel stay.
Day 2: Gulmarg trek to Alpathar Lake, then drive back to Gulmarg.

 2.Ningel Nallah Short Trek
3 days

 Ningle Nallah and Ferozepur Nallah are two scenic mountain brooks that flow through the neighbouring green valleys. These are popular tourist destinations for angling and trout fishing.
   Day 1: From Srinagar to Gulmarg, spend the night in a hotel or tent. Overnight camping at Ningel Nallah Stream
 Day 3: Drive from Ningel Nallah to Gulmarg in Srinagar.


e.Aharbal Short Hike
Aharbal is well-known for its waterfall. The meadows are peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by dense alpine forests. It is the best place in Kashmir for fly fishing. The Vishav River has excellent trout fishing beats.

Aharbal offers a few trekking trails to explore; the greatest gorgeous meadows are found on a short trip to Kongwattan.

f.Short Hike in Naranag Valley

Naranag is a tourism hotspot and home to a variety of adventure sports. Harmukh range can be witnessed in this region.Naranag valley provides the best trekking paths for both short and long treks.  Naranag is a lovely highland village located northeast of Srinagar. The village and its surroundings are lovely at any time of year.

This location is ideal for a short, simple hike and family camping. The surrounding mountain is rich in wildlife and provides a living for the villagers. The best part about this walk is that there is no height increase above 2200 metres, and there are several campsites along the way. This trekking trail is open all year for trekking and camping. During  winter, it is a fantastic winter trek destination, with magnificent views of the timberline under snow, followed by spiky mountain peaks in the background.

1.Domail Morchoi Hike

 1 night and 2 days:

Domail-Marchoi Meadow is located two to three hours walk ahead of Naranag, a hiking base camp that is accessible to Srinagar by road in less than one and a half hours. The journey to Domail is not difficult, but it is felt due to the high altitude.

 Following an arriving rivulet, one can hike for hours to Marchoi meadow and beyond to immerse oneself in nature's splendour. In the spring, the combination of pine trees, other plants, and ice creates a one-of-a-kind scene. Naranag is a tourist destination with ancient temple ruins.


 Day 1: Drive from Srinagar to Naranag, then hike up to Domail for an overnight camping trip.
Day 2:Sightseeing ,trout angling ;back to Srinagar in the evening.

2. GANGABAL LAKE TREK:
 3 DAYS
MODERATE TREK GRADIENT.

 

This wonderful short trek begins in a well-known mountain village at an elevation of 2135 metres. An archaeological site with a Shiva temple is a must-see before beginning the trek. It takes 3 hours via tourist taxi to Naranag from Srinagar. Start the hike on the same day and enter the " Budhsheri " treeline. The journey ascends Budhsheri through a zig zag route along the timberline. It takes three hours to reach the top of the timberline. The hardest part of this short trek is the first 3 or 4 hours of climbing, after which the route becomes very moderate. There is a gypsy tea stall at this point, which is a great place to rest and eat. Apart from being a popular short trek in Kashmir, this trek is also an important part of the multi-day Kashmir Great Lakes Trek.
 There will be a number of little cascading waterfalls throughout the trail that can be used for drinking. The Trundkhol Meadow will need a 2-hour hike. The meadow is nestled in the shadow of Mt. Harmukh is Kashmir Valley's second highest mountain peak at 5246 metres above sea level. Walking through Trunkhol's green, lush meadow with majestic views of the surrounding mountains gives the adventure a true wilderness feel. Trekking up the meadow slopes will lead you to two jaw-dropping alpine lakes in Kashmir. Nundkhol Lake will be the first campsite on this short trek.

 


g.SHORT TREKS IN SRINAGAR,KASHMIR

 THE MT. MAHADEV SUMMIT HIKE

  3 DAYS
TREK LEVEL: MODERATE SHORT TREK


Mount Mahadev (3966 m) Summit hike is the only short trek on the list that takes you to the outskirts of Srinagar, Kashmir. This lush Himalayan region is teeming with wildlife, rivers, glaciers, and nomad life. The trek begins with a gradual ascent from Dara, Harwan, and Srinagar in the vicinity of Dachigam National Park. This short trek's summit view offers a panoramic view of Dal Lake and Srinagar City, with the Pir Panjal Range in the background. While ascending to a height of Mt. Harmuk (5262 m), Kashmir's second-highest mountain peak, is also visible from the northeastern side.


Because the zone comprises the  Dachigam Wildlife Park and is a living habitat for Himalayan Brown and Black Bears, trekkers are encouraged to always do this walk in a group. This short walk is more exciting in the spring, when most of the high altitude hills and meadows are covered with snow. From April through October, this summit hike is open to the public for 7 months of the year. Physical fitness or previous trekking experience over rough terrain is required.

h.GANDERBAL SHORT TREKS

Mohan Marg SRINAGAR DAY TREK

You can get to the Anderwan village, where a three-hour hike to Mohanmarg through a pine forest, after a one and a half-hour drive.
Time: One Day
At the head of the Sind Valley in the Gandarbal district lies the Mohanmarg Meadow. This day hike will provide a respite from the demanding daily life.


i.BANDIPORA  SHORT TREK

 DACHIGAM MARSAR TREKS

5 DAY

The Dachigam-Marsar-Trek excursion will travel across two valleys. The journey begins at Sumbal and continues past Marsar Lake before entering Dachigam National Park. The Park is a wildlife refuge in Kashmir that is home to the only viable species of brown deer in Kashmir, the Kashmir Hangul (Stag). The path traverses streams and numerous lovely meadows beneath snow-capped mountains.

Though trekking in Kashmir is not a new experience, this adventure is not for the faint of heart. A tough journey in one of Kashmir's most beautiful and quiet Himalayas, with arduous days, steep and rocky passes, and elevations topping 4200m.


DAY 0: Arrival at Srinagar International Airport.
When you arrive in Srinagar, our representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to the houseboat. During which time you will be able to explore Srinagar. Stay for the night.

Day 1: Srinagar to Sumbal (3 hours) and then to Sonmasti (6 hours trek).
After breakfast on the houseboat, we drive to Sumbal in the Sind valley, following the Srinagar-Leh highway through Ganderbal villages. We load our belongings onto horses and begin our journey through the pine trees. We pitch our tents at Sonmasti for the night.

DAY 2:Sonmasti - Sundersar  (5 hours trek).
After trekking through the bleak landscapes of Sonmasti valley and traversing a 4000m mountain pass, we camp at Sundersar for the night.

Day 3:Sundersar - Tarsar - Marsar  (5 hours trek).
We leave early in the morning towards Tarsar Lake, gradually ascending to the Tarsar Lake valley. We cross a mountain divide and enter Marsar Lake for the night.

Day 4:Marsar - Nagbaren  (5 hours trek).
We continue trekking through the alpine meadows as we follow the Dagwan river gorge, the drain of Marsar lake. We pitch our tents at Nagbaren Dachigam for the night.

Day 5:Nagbaren - Harwan (5 hour walk) - Srinagar (1 hour drive).
Begin your descent carefully and make your way to Harwan through Dachigam National Park. We board our car and drive for an hour to Srinagar. Stay overnight on a houseboat.

Day 6: The day of departure.
Our representative will drop you off at the Srinagar airport for your flight.

WHAT TO GET ALONG ON SHORT TREK?

Trekking Boots. Avoid sneakers in favour of a shoe with strong traction. Before the walk, make sure the shoes are properly worn.

Backpack (maximum weight: 9 kg): A backpack with strong straps should be carried. It is also recommended that you have a rain cover for your backpack because rain is prevalent at high altitudes.

Daypack (no more than 5 kg): A smaller foldable backpack will suffice on the day of the summit.

Clothing: Bring thermals and additional trekking clothing, such as trek pants and a raincoat, as needed.

Keep your belongings to a minimum.

Accessories:Sunglasses(Black, Green or Brown) (Black, Green or Brown).
Blue sunglasses should be avoided because they cannot block sunlight. Avoid colourful ones as well. Sunhat or scarf, sunscreen, hand gloves, 2 pairs of socks, woollen socks, LED torch, trekking pole

Carry a spoon, a coffee mug, and a lunch box or plate. (Mandatory)

Keep some amenities with you, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a light towel, toilet paper, moisturiser, and hand sanitizer. Carry miniature-sized items. Avoid purchasing large toilet paper rolls.
Females: You may bring your personal toiletries with you.
There will be restroom tents where you may change. However, make sure you have ziplock bags on hand to collect your menstrual waste. There should be no littering in the mountains.

If necessary, carry a hydration pack.

Carry bags to keep your damp clothes in, but make sure you return them to avoid littering the mountains.

Photo ID, Adhar Card, Passport, and Visa are required for access at forest checkpoints.

Personal medication or a simple first-aid kit:
1. Dolo 650 is paracetamol. It aids in the prevention of minor discomfort.
2. Avomine: Keep this on hand if you are prone to nausea.
3.Combiflam: It provides immediate pain relief.
4.Digene:If you believe you are unable to digest food, take this and notify your trek leader.
5.ORS): Drink one pack of ORS water.at least once a day, preferably in the middle of your journey.
6. Knee Brace (Optional): If you have any knee pain, bring this with you.
