Gulmarg is a hill station that falls in the Baramulla district of J&K. Located at a distance of 49 km from Srinagar and at an elevation of 8690 feet above sea level, it is situated in a cup-shaped valley of Pir Panjal Range of Western Himalayas. The term "Gulmarg literally means 'The Meadow of Flowers.' Gulmarg is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations of Kashmir owing to its magnificence. This meadow of flowers is unequivocally the heartland of winter sports in India. Gulmarg is rated as Asia's seventh best ski destination and what is more exciting is that the Gulmarg Gondola is one of the highest in the world reaching 3,979 m. PAHALGAM:


This 'Vale of Shepherds' reposing on the banks of crystal-clear gurgling Lidder River, casts a spell on one and all with its crystalline waters, lush greenery and exhilarating travel routes. One of the famous health resorts of J&K, it is located 45 kilometres from Anantnag on the banks of Lidder River at an altitude of 7,200 feet above sea level. A breathtaking beauty with scenic topography and perfused with streams flowing from Seshnag and Lidder rivers, Pahalgam offers a respite from the din of urban life.


DOODHPATHRI:

Away from the trammels of mundane, Doodhpathri is an abode to crystal-clear flowing water, sky-kissing pine trees and fresh air. This bowl-shaped valley is located at 8957 ft altitude from the sea level. The place gets its name on the grounds of its cold milky water. It is also believed to be linked to a folk tale of a famous Kashmiri saint, Sheikh Noor din Noorani who is said to have cast about the place for water in order to ablute himself for praying. However, when he started to prick the ground, it gushed forth milk instead of water. But the milk upon hearing his words that it can only be used for drinking and not cleansing, changed into water. So, this is how the place was named. Some also say that Doodhpathri gets its name from the rich cattle milk production in the area. From the velvety emerald meadows and the snow capped summits which loom as the backdrop; every aspect and topographical feature of this spot is jaw-dropping.


SRINAGAR CITY:


The heart and capital city, culturally effervescent Srinagar will impress you the moment you see it! MANASBAL LAKE:

The lake has earned the sobriquet of "supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes".It is a freshwater lake located in Safapora area of Ganderbal District at a distance of 30 km from the Srinagar city. The Mughal garden, called Jaroka Bagh, overlooks the lake. The lake is home to a raft of lotus flowers which adds to its charm. The spot is also ideal for birdwatching.

YOUSMARG:

This lush green vale located at the foothills of Budgam district, is often referred to as the 'Trekker's Paradise'. → Head towards Yousmarg which is barely 2 km away from the lake.

DAY 4: SRINAGAR-MANASBAL LAKE|LAKE AND LOTUSES:

→ After breakfast, head towards Manasbal Lake, which is located in the Ganderbal District.

→Also visit Kheer Bhawani, which lies on a detour to Manasbal from Srinagar near the village of Tula Mula.

DAY 5:SRINAGAR TO PAHALGAM| GET LOST IN THE DEEP GURGLING WATERS OF PAHALGAM:
