Another road to Leh Ladakh begins in Manali in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. THE MANALI to LEH HIGHWAY

Since it opened to foreign tourists in 1989, the famous Manali–Leh Highwayhas replaced the old Srinagar–Kargil route as the most popular approach toLadakh. The highway is 490 km long, where the distance from Manali to Sarchu is about 230 km and that between Leh and Sarchu is about 260 km.
