Manali to Leh can be more hectic and tiring as it goes through higher passes and the road is more labyrinthine. However, this ride from Manali to Leh can be the ride of your life. Manali to Leh Ride 473km (294 miles) of tough roads, mountain passes, and exceptional roller-coaster scenery separates Leh from Manali. For most of the year, this spectacular stretch of road is closed to traffic as it is lined by thick snow. Even when the road is formally open in June, the danger of sudden snowfall looms, delivering with it numerous risks related to getting stuck within the middle of immense uninhabited areas with solely physical change of cold nights. Once summer has set in, a spread of temporary dhabas and chai stalls are gathered in mini-colonies on the approach. You need to show your passport for a string of checkpoints, the primary of that is simply on the far side the Rohtang Pass at the head of the Kullu vale. On the far side of this, you enter Lahaul, a colossal Trans-Himalayan landscape dotted with flat-roofed, white painted homes engineered from preserved bricks. Sarchu, a motley assortment of tented camps, is wherever you’ll most likely to have rest for night; you’ll be too cold to complain regarding the restricted facilities. You reach the world’s second-highest motorable road at the summit of the Tanglang-La Pass (5,241m/17,190 ft.); here you'll notice a lesser multi-faith shrine adorned by pictures of gurus, deities, and non-secular icons. Beyond the pass, exquisite mountains in a host of unbelievable colors vie with charming villages for your attention.
